Denali National Park and Preserve · Alaska

Denali is six million acres of wild land crossed by a single road, with North America's tallest peak and roaming moose, caribou, grizzly bears, and Dall sheep. Most visitors travel the park road on park buses, and families can also catch ranger-led sled dog demonstrations at the park kennels in summer. The Denali Visitor Center is the place to start, and the main season runs roughly late May to mid-September; check nps.gov for how far the road and buses are currently running.

Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Denali National Park and Preserve website before you go.
