Great Smoky Mountains National Park · North Carolina · Tennessee
Great Smoky Mountains is the most visited national park, with misty ridges, wildflowers, waterfalls, black bears, and historic mountain farms. There is no entrance fee, but most visitors need a parking tag. Families enjoy the Mountain Farm Museum at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, the loop road through Cades Cove, and the views from Kuwohi (formerly Clingmans Dome), and the Sugarlands Visitor Center is another good place to start.
Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Great Smoky Mountains National Park website before you go.
