Sequoia National Park · California

Sequoia is home to giant sequoias, including the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree on Earth by volume. Families can walk to the General Sherman Tree, stroll the Big Trees Trail around a meadow, and visit the Giant Forest Museum; older kids may like the stair climb up Moro Rock. The park road is steep and winding, and a summer shuttle helps with parking in the Giant Forest area.

Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Sequoia National Park website before you go.
