Voyageurs National Park · Minnesota
Voyageurs is a water-based park in northern Minnesota, with lakes, islands, and forests named for the French-Canadian voyageurs who paddled these routes. The Rainy Lake Visitor Center is open year-round, and in summer rangers lead boat tours and other programs that are great for kids. Much of the park is reached only by boat in summer, and in winter it becomes a place for snowshoeing, skiing, and northern lights.
Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Voyageurs National Park website before you go.
