New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park · Massachusetts
"The town itself is perhaps the dearest place to live in, in all New England. nowhere in all America will you find more patrician-like houses, parks and gardens more opulent, than in New Bedford…all these brave houses and flowery gardens came from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. Families can start at the visitor center for maps, exhibits, and Junior Ranger materials; always check nps.gov for current hours and conditions before you go.
Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park website before you go.
