Olympic National Park · Washington
Olympic packs three parks in one: glacier-capped mountains, old-growth temperate rainforest, and more than 70 miles of wild Pacific coastline. Families can walk the short Hall of Mosses loop in the Hoh Rain Forest, take an easy forest walk near Lake Crescent, and look for tide pools at low tide on the coast. Start at the Olympic National Park Visitor Center in Port Angeles, and check nps.gov for road conditions before you go.
Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Olympic National Park website before you go.
