Crater Lake National Park · Oregon
Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States, formed in the collapsed peak of an ancient volcano and famous for its deep blue color. Families can drive the rim for overlook after overlook and stop at Rim Village and the Steel Visitor Center for exhibits and ranger programs. Heavy snow covers the park much of the year, so Rim Drive is usually fully open only in summer and early fall.
Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Crater Lake National Park website before you go.
