Glacier National Park · Montana
Glacier has rugged peaks, alpine meadows, clear lakes, and more than 700 miles of trails, plus the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. The Trail of the Cedars is a flat, accessible boardwalk loop that works well for little legs, and the colorful rocks along Lake McDonald are fun to explore near the Apgar Visitor Center. Snow keeps the upper road closed until early summer, so check nps.gov for road status and whether vehicle reservations are needed.
Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Glacier National Park website before you go.
