Kings Canyon National Park · California
Kings Canyon has giant sequoias, deep canyons, and high Sierra peaks, and it is managed together with neighboring Sequoia National Park. In Grant Grove, a short paved trail leads to the General Grant Tree, and the Kings Canyon Visitor Center has exhibits and Junior Ranger books. In summer, the scenic byway down into Cedar Grove leads to easy walks along the river.
