Mesa Verde National Park · Colorado

Mesa Verde protects cliff dwellings and mesa-top villages built by Ancestral Pueblo people over 700 years. Families can see sites from overlooks along the Mesa Top Loop Road, visit the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum, and, with tickets, join ranger-led tours of some cliff dwellings that include ladders. Start at the Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center near the entrance; it is a long, winding drive to the main sites.

Hours, roads, and programs change with the seasons. Check current conditions on the official Mesa Verde National Park website before you go.
