Wind Cave National Park · South Dakota
Wind Cave protects one of the longest and most complex caves in the world, famous for its rare boxwork formations, and the prairie above it. Ranger-guided cave tours are the highlight, so check the schedule and tickets ahead, and look for bison, elk, and prairie dogs on the drive through the park. The visitor center has exhibits and Junior Ranger books.
